Coming Together

The reception desk still has work to be done, but thanks to the Hopelink staff and volunteers, it is getting finished quickly and efficiently. The Hopelink staff has really come together and made this site look beautiful.

This space will house the staff meeting room, tutoring desks, and breakroom. This will also be where most of the administrative work will be done

This isa more recent picture of where the breakroom, tutoring desks and administrative tools will be held. It still needs some work, but it is coming along nicely.

A few of the work stations for our asset building programs (including adult education, literacy, and employment.)

The warehouse at the new site being put together and organized for the big move-in.

Two of the Hopelink development staff discussing where everything will go and how it will look.

The warehouse getting primed to be stocked with food for Hopelink clients.

Volunteers at the old Kirkland site packing and moving food that will now be housed at the new facility.

More volunteers moving food from the old Kirkland site to the new Kirkland/Northshore site.

With all the help that Hopelink is getting, the staff is much more available to focus on the big picture and make the Kirkland site live up to its potential

There is still quite a bit to be moved, but volunteers are making a big dent in it.

Volunteers moving food.

Volunteers helping set up the site with the food from the old Kirkland site. This facility will be absolutely beautiful and help enhance Hopelink's ability to help the community so much more.

Even with all the food coming from other places, Hopelink still needs help filling all these crates to stock the warehouse.

Some of the furniture that came in to the warehouse and is waiting to be put together and go to its home in the facility.

Part of the Foodbank space that will be used as staff and volunteer offices outside the future grocery store.

The foodbank grocery store space partially put together. All that is needed now is the new flooring.

The entrance to the foodbank. Soon there will be an awning marking the entrance and welcoming Hopelink clients.

The new facility is really coming together. Lots of hard work by volunteers, staff and our contractors is making a difference.

Our COO says this is the fastest construction project he has ever seen.

Hopelink needs financial support to help set-up, equip, and furnish in preparation for service. You can donate by going to www.firstgiving.com/onthemove.

  1. This is so very cool. I'm looking forward to visiting. My hat's off (well, if I wore one) to the staff and everyone involved in making this happen. A well deserved round of applause from this corner.

  2. A big thank you to all the Hopelink staff and the many, many volunteers who are helping us make this huge move. This new facility will help us support the communities of Kirkland and Bothell with truly integrated services and a first-for-us grocery store model foodbank.
